Navigating A Path to Victory in VA-82
In Virginia’s 2023 state legislative elections, Deep Root partnered with JLK Political, Content Creative, and Medium Buying to build a winning strategy for Virginia’s 82nd State House District in which the Republican incumbent candidate successfully navigated to an electoral victory with a margin of 78 votes—less than three-tenths of a percent over her Democrat challenger.
Exclusive Analysis | Earned Media Impact of Presidential Debate
To examine the impact of the first GOP presidential debate on each candidate’s earned media performance, we first took an average of the number of mentions per day for each candidate in the week leading up to the debate. We then compared that average to their number of mentions on the day of the debate and the day after the debate.

In recent years, Rank Choice Voting (RCV) has gained traction as an alternative election method in many parts of the United States—including 2 states, 3 counties, and 58 cities. Those jurisdictions are comprise approximately 13 million voters who utilize RCV as their primary voting method in some elections.
