Deep Root Analytics is comprised of media professionals who are experts in audience building and media data analysis. Deep Root’s team members have backgrounds in microtargeting for both political and public affairs clients and have built a comprehensive set of audiences that target a breadth of groups. We also compile TV data from a wide variety of sources, from closed captioning to smart TVs, to capture the complexity of the evolving data landscape. Deep Root’s professionals have served political, public affairs, and issue advocacy clients at all levels and saved them over $300 million in TV advertising, which they were then able to redeploy.

Sara Fagen
Sara Fagen is an American technology and data entrepreneur with a background in political strategy and public affairs.
Sara co-founded Tunnl in 2020 where she serves as CEO, leading the fast-growing Tunnl team in their mission to streamline and maximize the ad-targeting experience for strategists and buyers alike by putting all of the audience insights they need across social media, programmatic digital, streaming TV, and linear TV all in one configurable platform that accommodates direct integrations into buying platforms of choice.
In 2013, Sara co-founded Deep Root Analytics, the premiere micro-targeting solution for political campaigns. Deep Root Analytics was a natural extension of Sara's years serving as a partner at DDC Public Affairs in Washington D.C., where she helped clients solve some of their toughest public affairs and political challenges. Sara became a Partner at DDC in 2011 after the company acquired BlueFront Strategies, an issue advocacy firm that Sara founded. In 2014, Sara helped lead the sale of DDC to Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC).

Brent Seaborn
At Deep Root, I lead modeling, targeting, and new product development.
Prior to Deep Root, I gained experience in survey research as the Project Manager for Market Strategies. I also worked on several Presidential efforts from 2004 through 2012.
I am a graduate of University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and George Washington University where I earned a Master's degree in Political Management. I currently live in Appleton, WI with my family. When I’m not keeping busy with stuff around the house, you can find me at one of my children's games.

Michael Meyers
Michael Meyers is a veteran Republican political strategist with more than two decades of experience advising winning campaigns, party organizations, and conservative advocacy efforts at the national, state, and local levels. He has worked on presidential campaigns since 2004 and has held senior roles in numerous U.S. Senate, gubernatorial, congressional, and state legislative races.
Michael specializes in campaign strategy, messaging, and organizational development, helping candidates and committees navigate high-stakes political environments and execute disciplined, results-driven campaigns. His work spans ballot initiatives, issue advocacy, and public affairs efforts that require precise targeting, coalition building, and effective voter engagement.
In addition to campaign work, Michael has advised major associations and corporate clients on conservative-aligned advocacy, regulatory challenges, and political engagement strategies across the energy, retail, and technology sectors. Earlier in his career, he served as executive director of the Michigan Republican Party and held senior leadership roles in the Michigan Legislature, where he helped build and sustain Republican majorities statewide. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Michigan State University and has served as an adjunct professor at The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.

Jonathan Duke
Jonathan Duke serves as Managing Director and Partner at Deep RootAnalytics, overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations and client strategy. He advises top U.S. Senate campaigns, national committees, and leading outside groups. His work has supported key U.S. Senate victories including Senators Susan Collins and Ted Budd and helped build and protect legislative majorities in battleground states such as Michigan, Arizona, Florida and Texas.
Prior to joining Deep Root, Jonathan held senior leadership roles across multiple political efforts. He helped lead the Michigan Republican Party, overseeing a $20+ million independent expenditure and issue advocacy program, and previously served under Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel during the historic 2016 cycle. He began his career in Kentucky politics, working on local races before managing congressional and statewide campaigns and serving as Kentucky State Director for the Republican National Committee.
Jonathan attended the University of Kentucky and was named to the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) 40 Under 40 in 2023. He lives in Northern Virginia, where he spends his free time chasing waterfowl, being disappointed by St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and pretending there’s still an off-season in politics.

Lx Fangonilo
Lx Fangonilo joined Deep Root Analytics in 2021 and serves as a Vice President of Client Services. While with Deep Root, Lx has worked with the team and clients to help pull off victories in tight elections up and down the ballot including in Alabama, Alaska, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin, and several other states.
Prior to joining the Deep Root team, Lx has worked and led campaign and political efforts across the United States. Most recently, he served as the Executive Director of the Colorado Republican Party under the leadership of Congressman Ken Buck. He has also served as the RNC State Director in Michigan in the 2018 election cycle and for the Michigan Republican Party in the historic 2016 election cycle, both under the leadership of Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
Lx is a California native and attended San Diego State University. He started his political career working on local races in Southern California and eventually went on to manage local, state, and federal campaigns. When he’s not too busy assisting clients, Lx can be found either in the kitchen working on a new recipe or enjoying an outdoor adventure such as hiking, camping, or most likely in winter months—snowboarding.

Aminah Al-Jaber
Aminah Al-Jaber serves as the Senior Director of Client Services at Deep Root Analytics, where she has led client relations and service initiatives since June 2024. As a political analytics and research professional, her expertise lies at the intersection of data science and political strategy, with a focus on microtargeting, survey research, and modeling to help clients optimize their audience outreach.
Prior to her current leadership roles, Al-Jaber gained extensive experience in public opinion and campaign data. She was the Associate Director of Microtargeting, Surveys, and Modeling at Tunnl and a Project Director at Public Opinion Strategies. Her background also includes roles at American Viewpoint, the Congressional Leadership Fund, and the NRCC. Al-Jaber holds a Master of Science in Political Analytics from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from American University. Outside of her professional work, she is an active volunteer, notably serving as a Co-Chair for the Junior League of Washington's "Tossed & Found" fundraiser.
Senior Director, Microtargeting Surveys & Modeling
Blake Ellis
Blake joined Deep Root Analytics in 2017 and serves as the Senior Director of Microtargeting Surveys and Modeling. While with Deep Root, Blake has worked with the team and various clients to conduct targeted research, analyze billions of data points, and create powerful narratives to help clients pull off victories in tight elections. Blake is a Virginia native, but currently resides in Utah.
He graduated from college with a degree in financial economics, along with a multilingual minor, speaking two languages other than his native English. He started his career working as an intern at Deep Root before joining the team full time in 2017. Blake is an avid fly fisherman, skier, outdoorsman, and leathercrafter. He enjoys adventures with his wife, Alexa, and their dog, Ender.

Ben moved to Washington, D.C., in the fall of 2019 to serve as a White House intern. Originally from Manchester, NH, he attended Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, and began his career in politics with the New Hampshire GOP during the 2016 cycle.

Audrey Graham
Audrey Graham is a Senior Analyst at Deep Root Analytics. Since joining the firm in 2024, Audrey has taken on a central role overseeing Deep Root's national modeling projects, contributing across the full pipeline from survey writing and data analysis to crafting marketing memos that translate complex findings into actionable intelligence.
Audrey holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Analytics and Information Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Iowa. Her dual academic background reflects a distinctive ability to bridge rigorous quantitative methodology with substantive political analysis, first demonstrated during her internship at Deep Root Analytics, before being brought on full time following graduation.
Outside of her professional work, Audrey lives in Michigan, where she spends time on the farm with her son, tending to her garden, canning her harvest, and caring for her chickens.

Chris Bahr
Chris Bahr is a Senior Analyst at Deep Root Analytics. In his role, Chris gleans strategic political insights and deliverables for data-driven insights. He has a drive for dissecting unanswered problems and intricate datasets for political intelligence.
Chris holds a degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University, where he also served as a writing advisor, refining his skills in preparing research papers and memos for publication. His interest in the public good and the intersection of data and politics led him to Washington, D.C., where he continues to apply his analytical expertise to the evolving landscape of political campaigns. Outside of his professional work, Chris is an enthusiast of reading, writing, and competitive games.

Dylan Engelbrecht
Dylan Engelbrecht serves as a Data Analyst at Deep Root Analytics. He is passionate about understanding voter behavior through statistical and data-driven insights to create effective, competitive campaigns from the national to local level. Prior to joining the firm in 2026, Engelbrecht had various roles in the Iowa Legislature including for State House and State Senate leadership while gaining campaign experience in his spare time. Additionally, he completed multiple marketing and technology internships for a Fortune 500 company throughout college.
As a proud Drake University graduate, Engelbrecht holds Bachelor’s degrees in Data Analytics and Economics with a minor in Mathematics. His lifelong interest for politics became a passion in college — especially for state politics. He is originally from rural Eldridge, Iowa. Outside of work, he can be found reading, slowly traveling to all 50 states, kayaking, or trying a new restaurant.
